Three ingredients. One of them is salt.
I spent years looking for something I could actually carry around and eat without compromising. Everything out there was either terrible for you or just... terrible. Protein bars full of soy isolate and sweeteners. Seed oil snacks dressed up with health claims. Stuff that looks clean until you read the back of the packet.
So I went back to basics. What did people actually eat before food got complicated?
Pemmican. The original energy food. For thousands of years it was what people carried on long journeys because it's calorie-dense, shelf-stable, and made of nothing but real food.
We make ours from organic beef and organic tallow, hand-pressed with sea salt. No fillers. No preservatives. No seed oils. No sugar. Three ingredients. One of them is salt.
A typical protein bar

Ours
Beef. Tallow. Salt.
"It's just beef, fat, and salt. The food humans ate for thousands of years, pressed into a bar. No fridge, no prep, no nonsense."
— Rasmus, Founder
This is unlike any bar you've tried. It's not sweet. It's savoury, rich, and fatty. The texture is dense and buttery with a bit of crunch from the salt. Think salted beef fudge. Most people are unsure on the first bite and hooked by the third bar. A lot of our customers describe it as an acquired taste that they can't stop eating once it clicks. The berry and honey versions are a great entry point if you want a bit of sweetness to start.
What's in it. And what's not.
Classic: Organic beef. Organic tallow. Sea salt. That's the full ingredient list.
Berry: Organic beef. Organic tallow. Organic cranberries. Sea salt.
Honey: Organic beef. Organic tallow. Raw honey. Sea salt.
No seed oils. No sugar (Classic). No preservatives. No additives. No soy. No whey. No fillers. No sweeteners. Nothing artificial.
Every bar is 60g of real, calorie-dense food. Made to carry with you and eat whenever you need it.

One bar. 401 calories. 21.8g protein. 34.8g fat. Most people find one bar is enough. Eat it slowly — this food is dense. Satiety usually kicks in 20–40 minutes after eating, so don't judge it on how you feel right after.
Common questions
What does it taste like?
Savoury, rich, and buttery. The classic bar tastes like salted beef with a creamy fat that melts slightly in your mouth. There's a bit of crunch from the salt. The berry version adds some tartness and chew from cranberries. The honey version has a subtle sweetness without tasting like a dessert. It's not like any bar you've had before. Some people take a few bites to get there. By the second or third bar, most people are hooked.
What's the texture like?
Dense and soft. Not crumbly, not chewy. Somewhere between fudge and shortbread. It's got a buttery quality from the tallow and a slight crunch from the salt. Some people eat it at room temperature. Others prefer it chilled. Both work.
Is this a protein bar?
No. It's real food pressed into a bar. A protein bar is whey, soy, glycerol, and sweeteners shaped into something vaguely edible. This is beef and fat and salt. The same food humans carried on journeys for thousands of years. It just happens to have 21.8g of protein per bar because that's what beef does.
Does it need to go in the fridge?
No. Shelf-stable at room temperature. It may soften slightly in warm conditions because it's full of natural fat, but that doesn't affect the quality or safety. Keep it in your bag, your car, your desk, your pocket. That's what it's made for.
How filling is one bar?
Very. It's 401 calories of beef and fat — dense in a way that most snacks aren't. Most people find one bar is enough. Eat it slowly. This kind of food takes 20–40 minutes to fully settle, so don't judge it on the first five minutes. If you're smaller or lighter, half a bar can be plenty. The fat keeps you full in a way that carb-based snacks never do. No spike, no crash.
Is it keto-friendly?
The classic bar is zero carbs, zero sugar. Perfect for keto, carnivore, and low-carb. The berry and honey variants have a small amount of natural carbs from the cranberries and honey, but still very low.
Which flavour should I try first?
If you want to try the real thing, start with Classic. It's the purest version. Beef, tallow, salt. If you want something with a bit more going on, Berry is our best-seller. The cranberries add a tart sweetness that a lot of people love. Honey is the mildest introduction if you're not sure about the savoury flavour.
Why is it more expensive than a regular snack bar?
Because a regular snack bar is mostly soy, sugar, and filler. This is 60g of organic beef and tallow. Real food costs more than processed food. Per calorie and per gram of protein, it's competitive with any quality food source. And you don't need to read the small print to know what you're eating.
What if I don't like it?
100% guarantee. Not happy? Just drop us a message and we'll sort it out. No questions asked. We get it. Pemmican is different. The taste and texture isn't for everyone. If you try it and it's not your thing, that's fine. We'll sort you out.
